Making things work across cultures

Localization is more than translation—it's about shaping how people experience products across cultures. I've spent 20+ years figuring out how to do it well.My background spans translation, UX, design, and team leadership—a combination that lets me talk to linguists, developers, and designers in their own language and connect what they're doing into something coherent. I'm at my best when a project needs someone who can see the whole picture and build systems that actually work.Currently, I lead localization at Ten Square Games, developing AI-enhanced workflows across multiple gaming products. I like building things that didn't exist before, and fixing things that don't work yet.I contribute to the localization community through conference speaking, workshops, and writing. I also co-run localization.pl—a (mostly) Polish-language knowledge base for localization practitioners.
